What it does — and what it doesn't
In short. The whole path of a received invoice is complete: it arrives by e-mail, AI turns it into a draft document, you review it, the document is posted, matched with a payment from the bank statement and reflected in the partner ledger and in VAT. You issue an invoice, download it as a PDF and send it to your customer by e-mail. Fixed assets are recorded and depreciated. Inventory and projects do not exist at all yet.
Incoming mail and AI extraction
Every data source has its own e-mail address. Whatever arrives there is read by AI and turned into a draft document — invoices as well as receipts — for review on the Dashboard, taking into account how documents from the same supplier were processed before. For invoices from abroad and with reverse charge it determines the VAT code itself and recalculates the VAT summary; whatever it cannot determine, you pick in the preview. An invoice in ISDOC is taken over directly, without AI. Contracts and similar documents are recognised and offered for filing in the Document archive; e-mails without a document that ask something of you (an expiry, a payment request) go to the To handle section. You can also upload a document by hand.
Not yet: one e-mail produces at most one draft; you cannot set rules for a particular supplier by hand; invoices with foreign VAT (a hotel or fuel abroad) and imports of goods are not handled by the draft. Extraction is a draft to review, not a finished document.
Received invoices, bank, partner ledger
An invoice goes through the states Draft → Done, is posted and appears in the partner ledger. You enter a supplier's advance invoice and, once paid, deduct it on the final invoice. Bank statements are imported in CAMT, GPC and FIO formats, payments are matched with invoices, unmatched ones go to a clearing account.
Not yet: payment orders, direct bank connection.
Accounting
The journal is built from documents and bank transactions automatically, you do not enter accounts by hand. The chart of accounts is created from a template (business / non-profit) and can be adjusted. Manual accounting entries with a balance check. Reports: general ledger, income statement, balance sheet — also downloadable as Excel or CSV.
Not yet: year-end closing.
VAT
The VAT return, control statement and EC sales list are calculated live from documents. Tax filings keep periods per registration; a filing produces the XML for the tax portal and a PDF copy, and the period can be locked after filing.
Not yet: submitting to the portal — you send the file yourself. Special schemes and some lines of the annual settlement are not calculated by the live return; details in Limitations.
Document archive
Contracts, insurance policies, inspection reports — documents that are not accounting documents, kept in binders. For documents with a validity date, Shipard watches the date and warns in time.
Issued invoices, sales receipts, cash desk
You issue an invoice, it gets a number from a sequence, VAT is calculated, it is posted. You download it as a PDF with a QR payment code, or send it to the customer by e-mail with the Send button — in Czech, English, Slovak or German depending on the customer. You put your logo and colour in the header and your own texts on the document and in the e-mail. Advance invoices, sales receipts for cash, card, payment gateway and cash on delivery, and cash desk receipts and payments; all of them print to PDF.
Not yet: bulk sending, an electronic invoice (ISDOC) for the customer, signature and stamp, a custom document template. Cash book and till receipts.
Fixed assets
Cards for low-value and long-term assets with inventory numbers. Tax and accounting depreciation with a plan on the card, and depreciation for a period posted in one batch document. You create a card from a line of a received invoice and track asset costs on documents. Reports — the depreciation schedule, additions and disposals, tax depreciation for the corporate tax return, the asset register — with export to Excel, and a check of the register against the journal.
Not yet: deferred tax, units-of-production and accelerated accounting depreciation, printing the card, assignment to users and stocktaking.
Persons, items and the environment
Suppliers, customers and individuals in one register; a company is completed from the public register by its registration number, and for each person you set the document language and who gets what. Items with types and units of measure. The Dashboard shows in sections what needs doing right now; Alerts are the results of automatic checks; Chat is an AI assistant over your data and the help — read-only.
Not yet: the English interface is incomplete. Users and access, backup and deletion of a data source are handled through support.
Where the numbers may still be off
A refund of a credit note from the bank statement is not matched automatically — you assign it by hand. If you find a difference against the original, even of one crown, we want to know.
Not planned
Point of sale and retail, canteen, reservations, bulk e-mail, tags, a native mobile app (the responsive web can be added to your phone's home screen).
